Banking & Finance

Our International Banking and Finance Group has wide ranging expertise in both domestic and international work, acting for commercial banks, international development banks, investment banks, funds, multilateral banks and other financial institutions from around the World.

We also advise many corporate borrowers and lessees on their finance transactions, drawing, where necessary, on our in-depth knowledge and understanding of particular sectors such as communications, sport, aviation and aerospace. Our teams of specialist lawyers in each of our offices across Europe, the Middle East and Asia advise on the structuring, documentation and negotiation of a wide range of banking and finance-related matters.We have a well-earned reputation for client service, combining technical expertise with tenacity, strong commercial instincts, a flexible attitude and a dedication to ensuring that the deal gets done.

The International Commercial Group, which includes Outsourcing, Franchising, Licensing and Multi-Channel Strategies, Privacy & Data Protection, IT and Communications, works in conjunction with the firm’s other practice areas to provide a complete solution to clients’ requirements.

Real Estate

Our International Real Estate Group provides specialist advice and support across a wide range of real estate transactions to major domestic and international businesses, developers, investment funds, banks and public sector bodies.

We regularly advise on cross-border transactions, and our involvement is carefully managed to ensure there is continuity of client care as well as local expertise at every stage of the transaction.

Much of our work has a multi-disciplinary flavour, although everyone involved has a specialist understanding of the real estate sector. Complex structures, such as REITs, limited partnerships, unit trusts or open and closed ended funds involve close cooperation with tax, finance and corporate law specialists; while other transactions require expertise in PFI/PPP, construction, outsourcing, dispute resolution and other legal disciplines.
